HP Officejet Pro 6978 Software Install

 Insert the software installation disc into the Windows computer. If the installer file does not open automatically, open the contents from File Explorer, and open the Setup file. The File Explorer or This opens. Now, double-click the CD drive and the contents on the disc display. Double-click the Setup file and the Installer Window opens.

Follow the on-screen commands to install the printer software, and resume to the next step. If the printer software fails to install from the installation disc, copy the files in the disc and install the software. Open the printer software and start the installation.

The File Explorer window opens. Now, double-click the C: drive  New Folder, type HP Software to name the new folder, and then click Enter. In File Explorer, click the disc drive. Use Ctrl+A to choose all the files, ctrl+C to copy them, and ctrl+V to paste the data.

Search Windows for Run, and select it. In the Run window, type and enter C:\HP Software\setup.exe.

The installer window opens, and follow the on-screen instructions. Once the software installation is done, delete the HP Software folder that you created. You can install the software from the manufacturer’s site. Go to the manufacturer’s website enter your product name, and software version.

The software installer displays, click Download. Now go to the Download page on your windows, search for the downloaded file and click it to include it into the record. Select the data, and then click Run to start the process. Select Setup.exe and the setup window opens. Now turn on your printer.

A list of the available printers are displayed on the screen, select your printer, then tick the box next to I renewed and accept the installation agreement and settings and click Next. The installation page displays with a software program running. After the installation is done, the shortcut icon appears on the desktop.

Click on that icon and HP Device Setup Processes page displays with process processing. Enter the Information about your Device and Postal code. Next click Continue online to complete the HP Officejet Pro 6978 Software Install.
